Thirty-two new employees from six member cooperatives and Select Sires Inc., gathered in Plain City, Ohio for orientation and sales training June 10 through June 13.

Thirty-two new employees from six member cooperatives and Select Sires Inc., gathered in Plain City, Ohio for orientation and sales training June 10 through June 13.

“Once again, Select Sires’ service professionals and partners hosted a valuable orientation program and sales training for new employees. With 13 interns in this orientation group, we were excited to work with some of the best young people in our industry,” explains Lyle Kruse, vice president of U.S. market development for Select Sires.

The orientation program is packed with educational seminars, tours of Select Sires’ facilities and laboratories, and a sire parade. Presentations from industry experts and Select Sires’ personnel detail the cooperative’s history, service programs, herd management products and sire power. New employees learn about sire care and semen collection, semen quality and fertility, genetic evaluations and dairy and beef sire programs.
