SUNY Cobleskill Student Named Intern at Leading A.I. Organization

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, June 22, 2009 — Kyle Johannssen, Mohawk, N.Y., has been selected as the summer dairy-sire marketing intern for Select Sires Inc.

While at Select Sires, Johannssen will be responsible for preparing cattle for photography, helping select appropriate animals and assisting the photographer in taking photos. He is also responsible for helping the dairy-sire marketing department coordinate and execute in-house projects as designated by the supervisor.

Johannssen is a senior at the State University of New York (SUNY) Cobleskill, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in animal science. He has a strong background in the dairy industry, growing up on Dithmarsia Holsteins, his family’s registered Holstein operation where they milk 100 cows. He recently completed an internship at Lamb Farms Inc. as their dry cow and transition cow manager.
