German Named Corporate Communications Intern at Select Sires



PLAIN CITY, Ohio, June 2, 2009 — Leslie German, Stillwater, Okla., has been selected as the summer corporate communications intern for Select Sires Inc. Her responsibilities include designing the 2010 dairy and beef breeding calendars, along with assisting the sales and marketing team with promotions and communications.

German is a senior at Oklahoma State University, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in animal science and agricultural communications. On campus, she is active in the Dairy Science Club, serving as the president for two years, and is a member of Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow and Oklahoma Collegiate Cattlewomen. She is also a member of the Oklahoma State University dairy judging team.

German has a strong background in the dairy industry, growing up on Hy-Mic Dairy, Cushing, Okla. The Hy-Mic herd was dispersed in 1996 but the German have continued to raise and show Holstein and Guernsey cattle.
